When I take a break from my sewing or painting, I sit and draw on my ipad! I use an app called Procreate to draw using the apple pencil. Endless possibilities. I create layers, which lets me work on certain parts of the drawing without marking on a part that I like. For example, I create the face, then add a background layer. I love that you can draw, undo, draw, undo, until you get the right look. I use a "charcoal" or "sable" brush for most of the drawing. Here are some of my drawings from the ipad:
